   In a span of 5 months, I’m back in Bataan! And since I wasn’t able to cover other places of interest in Bataan during my last trip back in November 2015, this time around I was happy to be able to do something new like trying the thrilling Mt. Samat Zipline in Pilar. This actually isn’t my first zipline experience but it was probably the longest I have tried.



The Mt. Samat Zipline is a few hundred meters away from the Dambana ng Kagitingan. This attraction spans about 540-meters long with a height of 43 meters above sea level starting from atop the historic Mt. Samat all the way down to Dunsulan Falls. As you zipline your way to the other end, make sure to open your eyes and enjoy the majestic view of the mountains and rice paddies.



So how do you go about zip-lining in Pilar? Read on.

Try out the Mt. Samat Zipline

When you arrive at the entrance of the Mt. Samat Zipline, pay Php350.00, Php80.00 roundtrip shuttle service to the Zipline Launch Pad and back to the entrance.



After paying, you can either take the shuttle service to the Zip Line Launch Pad or, if you are the adventurous type with lots of stamina, you can hike it.

Our group taking the shuttle.The ride takes about 10 minutes (roughly 1 kilometer) to the Zip Line Launch Pad where you will be given your gear.





At the Mt. Samat Zipline, you have the option to choose between the seated or “Superman” position. Once all geared-up, you are good to go!



If you notice, I was holding my bag since they unfortunately didn’t have a place where you can leave your things. Either leave it with your companion or bring it along just like we all did.

And away we go!



At the end of the Mt. Samat Zipline, their staff is waiting to assist you as you land on the hanging bridge.



And since you’re already there, why not try Bataan’s Tree Hopping Adventure.



For Php300, get to try the six-stage Tree Hopping Adventure. Since I was already able to try something similar to this at in Bohol, I decided to skip this one out. But some from our group took on the challenge and from the looks of it, it seems like they had an adrenaline-pumping good time!



After all the exhilarating activities, relax by the Dunsulan Falls, grab an ice cold drink and just enjoy the view. Just make sure to clean up before you leave. Let’s help in preserving and keeping the park clean.
